Drug Take Back Day

October 26 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Drug Take Back Day is a national event that provides a safe and convenient way for people to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Organized by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), it typically occurs twice a year, in April and October.

On Drug Take Back Day, community members can bring their medications to designated drop-off locations, often at pharmacies, police stations, and other public places where the DEA safely collects and disposes of them. The goal is to prevent drug misuse, protect the environment, and reduce the risk of accidental poisoning, as well as address the opioid crisis by reducing the number of leftover prescription opioids in homes.
